The present day Germans cannot be blamed for the atrocities of WWII. I know some very nice Germans. WWII concentration camps photos exceed any of my imaginations. How was this possible? Who were these people? How is it possible that a whole country approved these actions? Everybody knew it was happening, many people had relatives involved with the nazi regimes extremely few did something against it. Therefore, in general, fuck Germany. Fuck you for the next century.

I think anyone can turn their head and close their ears and pretend this isn't happening, because they don't want to get involved or the consequence of being involved are too great.

It also seems that whacko people have a knack of getting in a position of power against the better judgement of sane people, who just loose control of the situation.

I feel guilty about hating Germany for WWII. It wasnt the present days' Germans fault. I suppose I just have a need to hate something or somebody for what happened in those years..

Humanity is notorious for fucked up ideas up to this day. Stalin supposedly killed more Russians than an army of nazis did. My favorite conflict over utter bullshit was Thirty Years' War -- christians fighting christians because of the schism. Death toll: Hard to count, because it was long ago, but estimated is 8 million, mainly civillians. If you add all the other churches crimes in history (crusades, "witch hunts", inquisition, murdering important individuals, burning down libraries, spreading lies in Africa) you come to conclusion that nazi ill system is hated because they lost the war. Churches atrocities are much worse, but they never got their ass kicked, so they get away with everything to this day.

well i agree with you that muslim value system is even more fucked up than the christian. just as most christians never even read the bible, so did most muslims these days never read the book they worship, mostly they are taught to worship sick ideas from the day they were born. but so are most christians, uneducated drunken wife beaters. because it's okay to get drunk on christs blood and it's okay to treat women and children like cattle. and it's okay to hate everyone from outside of your tribe of believers. and it's alright to stone someone for being different. kill millions of people with toxic gases for whatever reason, because they weren't blonde. similar set of inconceivable ideas for someone who was raised outside of these "value systems", or stepped out of these having learned that what they claim to be differs much from what they actually cause. nazism was assessed by historians as a system with the same force as a religious system, hitler being the prophet. it was a cult.

i've been to Auschwitz. I can tell you it was no joke. Scratches on the walls of the gas chambers are still there to testify. Also the museum inside the camp was to much to handle, i cried. We do not have the right to forget something like this happened.

Most human cultures have committed terrible atrocities but people shouldn't compare and make contrasts between them in ways that make one seem worst than another. However, the holocaust seems to resinate more so in the minds of many because of the many details and footage that exists. Never the less, it was a horrific event that the world should acknowledge and yes, NEVER FORGET!
